The Dragonfly

Good evening everyone!  I'm stopping by to share a couple of cards I made using images from the Ching Chou Kuik Oriental Kimono Lady Set.  I also shared a quick tutorial in the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group to show how I made the (very easy) backgrounds. I hope you'll check it out, and if you haven't already joined our group, we would love if you did!

Here is my first card using 'The Dragonfly':

The Copics I used are: skin - E11, E21, E50, E51, R11 & R20; hair - E31, E33, E35 & E37; dress - V04, V05, V06, Y15, BG11, BG13, BG23 & RV04; flowers - BG11, BG13, BG15, BG23, RV25 & RV23; dragonflies - BV23 & BV25.  The image is printed on x-press paper. For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Sherri Baldy paper, cheesecloth, and Spellbinder dies.

I used Chalk to create the sunset background:

My chalk of choice is Pebbles, Inc, but you could you whatever you like best.

I start with the darkest color, applying in a circular motion, adding the next color as I work my way up.  I blend the new color into the color added prior.

Super easy, and it creates a nice effect!  I hope you enjoyed this:)  I loved coloring this image, and am very happy with the result.  Thanks for stopping by!  I'll post another soon:)

Moonstar Maiden

Happy Friday!  I hope you had a great week!  It is time for a new Anything Goes Challenge over in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group.  The twist this month is 'Monochromatic'.  For my DT Inspiration I used the beautiful digi Moonstar Maiden.  I usually dread monochromatic challenges, but thought this image might work well for it, and I am happy at the result.  I would love to know what you think!

The only Copics I used are W00, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7 & W9. The image is printed on x-press paper.

For my card all I used is Bazzill cardstock, paper from my stash,  bling, and star die by Tim Holtz.  I hop you like the result:)

Have you played along with our challenges in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group? We have 2 challenges a month, and there are lots of chances to win some of Mi Ran's gorgeous digis.  We also choose Guest DT's with each of our Anything Goes challenges.  We hope to see you there!

The Copics I used are: alien - YG17, YG21, YG23 & YG25; suit - Y21, Y26, Y28, V05, C3, C5, YG00, YG01 & YG03.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Toadstool Fairy

Good morning everyone:)  I totally forgot to share this with you all on Friday!  The past week has gone by entirely too fast. This is my DT make for last week for the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  I'm using this beautiful image Toadstool Fairy.  I've been wanting to color her for some time:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E11, E21, E50, E52, R11 & R20; hair - BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29 & 100; dress - C3, C5, C7 & C9; wings - V01, V12, V15, G12, G85 & G99; toadstool - R14, R17, R27, R39, E40, E43, E47, E49 & W2.   I added Wink of Stella to the wings.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Here is a closer look at this amazing image:

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from my stash, cheesecloth and pearls.  I kept the card pretty simple and neutral, as there are many colors in the image, and I didn't want it to be too 'busy'.  I hope you like her!

Are you a member of the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group?  There is always a challenge going on, and you will see the newest digis as soon as they are released!  We would love to have you join us and share your projects using Ching Chou Kuik digis.  Hope to see you there!

If you head on over to the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog you can check out the gorgeous projects made by my fellow DT members.  Also, while you're there, won't you join our Anything Goes challenge?  Hope to see you there!  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.
