Waves of Grief

Hi everyone!  I am here with a little bit of mid-week inspiration for you.  I am hosting the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog today, and would love to share this card I made using Waves of Grief.  I really love this image, though I must say I was almost afraid to use it.  The image says so much, so I was mindful not to overdo it on my card (especially with the embellishments).  I kept it fairly simple, but (I think) rather striking.  I would love to know your thoughts.

I used the following Copics: hair - E53, E57 & E59; tattoo - R32, R37, R39, YG97 & G21; dress - YG01, YG23 & YG17.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Sherri Baldy, lace, ribbon and Spellbinders dies.  I really love the emotion in this image.  You can find this image, and so many more in the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop.  She is always adding new images, so check back often!  We also invite you to be a follower of our Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog where you'll see inspiration projects from all of the amazingly talented DT members, and see new releases as soon as they're revealed!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day.

Naughty or Nice

Hey everyone - do you know what day it is?  It's NEW RELEASE day on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog!  This month we are celebrating 'Christmas in July', and Cheri has outdone herself with these new beauties!  I am so excited to share my card - I love all of the new girls, but this one is my favorite:)  She is 'Naughty or Nice', and you'll be able to find her in the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop.  I love that she's got a bit of both angel and devil in her - I mean, haven't we all?  What do you think?

The Copics I used are: hair - BV20, BV25, BV29 & 100; angel wing - R0000, RV000, B0000 & Wink of Stella (clear); devil wing - R32, R35, R37, R39 & C3; halo - Y26 & Y28; panties - YG01, YG17, YG23 & white gel pen; paper - E40, E42 & E43.

Let's Go Team!

Morning everyone!  Even though it's hot here, and the middle of summer, do you know what's on my mind? Football.  I am such a huge football fan - I love the sport, and also love playing in Fantasy leagues. So when it came time to choose an image for my project for today on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog, it was easy choice.  I went with this sassy gal called Let's Go Team.  Of course I had to color her in the color of my beloved Philadelphia Eagles...

The Copics I used are: hair - E35, YR23, Y21 & Y32, clothing - G06, G09 & G29; football - E13, E15, E17 & E18; shoes - C3, C5 & C7.  I tried to add some speckles to the football to mimic the texture of a real one.  What do you think?

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Jillibean Soup (Game Day Chili), ribbon. and a little football embellishment I've had for ages.  Cute, right?  My sister is also a huge football fan, so I think I'll pop this into the mail for her.

We would love to have you follow the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog to see what our amazing DT is up to, as well as find out about new releases.  And don't forget to check out the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop where you can find this beauty and so many more.  Thanks for stopping by!

Fancy Occasion

Happy Thursday everyone!  Well, yesterday I shared a card my daughter made for the Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog, and today I am here to share a card I made for the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog.  I'm using this gorgeous image Fancy Occasion, and I couldn't wait to color that dress!  I was sooo intimidated by the folds (and truth be told, this is my 4th coloring of her - I just wasn't pleased with the others).  But I think I finally got it right!  What do you think?

The Copic colors I used are: hair - E33, E51, E53 & E57; dress - V93, V95 & V99.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, My Mind's Eye paper, cheesecloth (first time trying it, and I must say, I quite like to texture), lace, ribbon, flowers by Wild Orchid & Prima, and Joy! Crafts die.  I really hope I captured the elegance of the image with my card.  If you love this image, you can find her and other lovelies in the  Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop.  There are currently some bundles on elves to help with your Christmas in July projects!  Thanks for stopping by.  I love and appreciate my followers. Samantha - Guest DT for Karleigh Sue!

Hi everyone!  I am SUPER excited to write this post.  My daughter Samantha has been asked by Karleigh Sue to be a Guest DT for their brand new Challenge on the Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog!  Hoe exciting for her, and I couldn't be prouder:)  She made a card for the Cutie Challenge which starts today, and has a 'Christmas Elf' theme.  For her card she used this cute elf Jingles.

Samantha used the following Copic colors for her project: hair - YR23, Y21 & Y32, clothes - G46, G21, R27 & R24; belt - Y26 & 100.

FOr the card she used Bazzill cardstock, and paper & stickers from Bo Bunny (Mistletoe).  She added 2 Christmas charms to her card as well.  How's that for a card made 100% by a 12 year old?  Pretty amazing, right?  I know Samantha would be thrilled to know what you think.  Head on over to the Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog to check out more details on the challenge, and to see the other wonderful DT projects.  There is also an amazing deal on digis in the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop, including a Christmas Elf Bundle which includes Jingles:)

Runaway Heart

Happy Hump Day people!  Today is my turn to host the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog, and I am delighted to share a twisted easel card I made using the sweet image Runaway Heart.  For the theme of my card, I chose to make it about running away to 'Follow Your Dream'.  I hope you like it!

Karleigh Sue - Nerdy Cute

Good morning everyone!  I'm hosting the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog today, and I'm happy to share this altered chalkboard with you.  I decided to use the super adorable image Nerdy Cute.  Right away I knew I wanted to use some school themed papers (which I've had for YEARS), but I just wasn't feelin a card with it.  So...I grabbed a small chalkboard I bought at Walmart a few week ago, and VIOLA! Here she is:

The Copics I used to color her are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - YR14, YR18, E08 & E19; pants - B91, B95 & B97; shirt - YR23 & Y21, bag - E31, E33 & E35.
