Jason's Owl Steampunk

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.   I'm stopping by to share my DT project for the new Anything Goes challenge on the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog.  Our sponsor for this week is Rick St. Dennis who will be giving the winner 2 single images from  their store.   I am using this cool image Jason's Owl Steampunk, and made a tag with it.  I don't often make tags, but I thought this image was perfect for one!

The Copics I used are:  R56, R59, V04, V06, Y26 & Y28.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

I made the background paper using acrylic paint, gelatos, spritzes and a stencil.  in addition, I also used  Bazzill cardstock, cheesecloth, ribbon, Tim Holtz ticket, and Authentique word stickers.  If you head on over to the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog you can check out the gorgeous projects made by my fellow DT members.  Also, while you're there, won't you join our Anything Goes challenge?  Hope to see you there!  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.

Meet Dragonfly

Happy Monday everyone!  We are having a mini challenge in the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group, and we would love for you to join us.  The challenge is to 'Make A Tag - Using 2+ Coloring Mediums'.  It can be any combination of mediums...Copics, colored pencils, ink, chalk, etc.  For my tag I am using Meet Dragonfly, and I've used Copics, distress inks, chalk and misting spray.  This was a lot of fun!  I don't make tags very often, but I think I'm going to start:)

I used the Copics to color the image, and chalked the background.  I made the paper for the tag using distress ink, and once dried, I misted over a stencil with misting spray.  A lot of work went into this!  I added some die cut pieces, tulle, a sticker sentiment, and ribbon.  What mediums are you going to use? Please head on over to the  Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group  and play along! Hope to see you there!

Simply Betty Stamps - Progressive Challenge

Good evening everyone!  Something new to share with you tonight.  Have you seen in the Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Group that she is now doing a Progressive Challenge?  I've always loved her stamps, and it has been a while since I've been able to work on one, so I thought it would be fun to play along.  The challenge is to make a tag using the image 'Betty Transfusion'...and here is mine:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - R81, R83, R85 & R89; dress - C1, C3, C5, C7 & C9.  I think the R80's are my new favorite hair color!  The image is printed on x-press paper.  For my tag I used paper from Heidi Swapp, doily, ribbon, cheesecloth and sequins.  I hope you like her!

I'll be back in a few hours with another project to share:)  Have a great night!

Ike's Art

Good morning everyone!  I was asked by my friend Anne Lise to be a guest designer for an inspiration post featuring some images from Ike's Art.  The theme was to create a small gift or tag using a masculine image.  I have to say, I found it a bit challenging, as most of the images I do are quite girly, but I am always up for trying something new. so I gave it a whirl. I hope you like it!

For my project I colored the image with Copic markers, and created a tag.  For the tag I used paper from my stash (it is Valentine paper I have had for a while), fibers, ribbon, and dies from LaLa Land Crafts and Memory Box.

The Copic colors I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E93 & R11; hair - E21, E23, E25 & E29; suit - E33, E35 & E37; flowers - R24, R35, RA46, R59, B21, B24 & B26.

You can see the awesome projects by her DT on her original post here: http://barnemix.no/index.php/hobby/kortlaging/763-inpirasjon-fra-ike-s-art

Thanks so much for taking a peek! I'll be back shortly with a fun card for you.

It was hard choosing which image to use for this challenge, and I was finally able to decide, and here it is...my tag using BBKakes - Mad Hatter.  I really enjoyed making this, as most of my projects are tags.  How did I do?

The Copics I used are: hair - E21, E23, E25 & E29; dress - B93, B95, B97, B99, T0, T1 & T2; socks - V06, V09; rabbit - W1, W3 & W5; heart/diamond - R24, R27 & R29; bottle - W5, W7 & W9; smoke - V93, V95 & V99; mushroom - E42, E43, E47 & E49; tag - Y17, Y21 & Y38.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the tag I used Bazzill cardstock, paper/cards by Graphic 45 (Hallowe'en in Wonderland), lace, ribbon & Tim Holtz die.   Please head on over to the CCC Digi Creations Challenge Blog to check out the beautiful work by the other DT members.  While you're there, check out the challenge, and enter your 'Tag It' project:)  Thanks for stopping by!
