Scrapbook Stamp Society - Handmade Flowers

Good morning everyone! I'd love to share with you my card for the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog.  My card is a reminder for our current challenge  'Anything Goes with the option of  Handmade Flowers', and we would love for you to join us! Such a fun theme! Here is my DT card using IMG703. She is so cute!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93, R20 & R32; hair - E23, E29, E37 & E95; boat - B60, B63, B66 & B79; flower - R81, R83, R85, Y17, Y32, YG01, YG17 & YG25. The image is printed on x-press paper.

Here is a closer look:

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Webster's Pages and my stash, lace (colored with Copic marker), Make it Crafty chipboard words (covered with paint and stickles) and leaf die. For the flowers I cut circles, then cut a spiral into them and rolled them up.  They are very easy handmade flowers, and cute, I think!

We would love for you to join us over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog and check out our challenge. The other DT members have beautiful projects to inspire you as well!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Handmade Flowers - Reminder Post

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday:)  Just popping in to remind you that we have a fun challenge going on over on the Scrapbook Stamp Society Blog.  The challenge is Anything Goes + Optional Handmade Flowers.  I had so much fun making my own flowers last week I decided to give it a go again using this beautiful image which you can find here in the Sherri Baldy Etsy Shop.  I hope you like her!

The Copics I used are: hair - E31, E33, E35 & E37; dress - B12, B21, B24, B236, V06, V09, V12, V15 & Star Dust Stickles.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock & dot paper, and paper/sticker from Websters Pages (Dream in Color).  I used dies from Memory Box, LaLa Land Crafts and Joy! Crafts, and ribbon.  For each the flowers I used circle punches (2 sizes), and buttons.  If you would like, I can take pictures of the steps to create them.  Just leave me a comment letting me know and I will do that.  I hope you will head on over to the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog and check out the amazing DT projects, and also play along with our challenge.  You'll have a chance at winning some awesome digis - maybe even this one!

Have a great week!

Scrapbook Stamp Society - Handmade Flowers

Good morning all!  We are kicking off a brand new challenge over on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog, and our theme is 'Anything Goes + Option Handmade Flowers'.  FUN challenge!!!  I'm pretty new to the 'handmade flowers' thing, so for this card I made the only handmade flowers I know how to make!  I know, not much of a challenge...but for the reminder post next week, I'm going to try something new!  I'd love to see what handmade flowers are your favorite!  For my card I used this sweet image which you can find here.  I'd love to know what you think!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E4, E21 & R20; hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; shirt - BG000, BG01, BG05, YG09 & R22; pants - YR23, Y21 & Y32; shows - W0, W3, W5 & W7.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Webster's Pages, dies by Spellbinder & LaLa Land Crafts, and Martha Stewart punch.  The sticker sentiment is by 3 Bugs in a Rug, and reads 'life is either a darling adventure or nothing'.  I love this quote by Helen Keller.

I made the flowers by punching different sized circles in different paper and used scalloped scissors to cut a spiral to the center,  I then rolled (starting from the outside) toward the center, and secured the center bottom with a dab of glue.  Next time I will take pics of the various stages. Super easy, and I like the look:)

Thanks for taking a look, and please be sure to head over to the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog to check out the other amazing DT work and to share your own.  Have a great week!
