Neeve - Saturated Canary

Good evening everyone!  I wanted to pop in to share a card I made using this awesome image called 'Neeve' by Saturated Canary.  She is part of Another Bunch of digis which you can find in the Saturated Canary shop.  I love this image (maybe because I love coffee, lol), and used her to make a card for a friend.  Our kids go back to school in a couple of weeks, and we need to grab coffee and catch up, and she was just perfect for that!

The Copics I used are: hair - E50, E51, E53 & E11; shirt - R02, R11, R14, R17, R20, G000, BG11, BG32 & BG34; pants - YR000, YR31, Y21 & Y17; shoes - C1, C3 & C5.

I really love what it says: "All it takes is some time with you to make life Grande"

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Prima paper (Coffee Break), Wild Orchid flowers, and dies by LaLa Land Crafts, Sizzix, Joy! Crafts and Memory Box.  I chalked the edges of the papers with Colorbox chalk (chestnut roan).  I can't wait to send her off. Thanks for stopping by:)

Love in Spring (Winter)

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you have fun stuff going on this weekend. I'm doing a little bit of everything...crafting, chores, swimming, cooking...etc.  But that's ok!  I like days like this.  I get some 'me' time, but am still productive:)

There is a challenge going on over in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group, and it is using a stamp from one of my favorite artists - Ching Chou Kuik.  The image is Love in Spring (and she is available for a discounted rate for a limited time), and the challenge is to color it to represent your favorite season.  Living in Arizona, I just loveeee our winters.  They are so mild - that is the reason we suffer through the heat, lol.  So here she is...my Love in Spring (Winter):

The Copic colors I used are: hair - B21, B24, B26 & B29; wings -C1, C3, B60 & Wink of Stella (clear); dress - C1, C3, C5 & C7; flowers - E71, E77, C1, C3, C5 & B60.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Bo Bunny (Powder Mountain), flowers from WIld orchid & Prima, cheesecloth, and dies by LaLa Land Crafts, Sizzix & Spellbinder. Thanks for taking a peek!

CC & CC 'A Flower in Your Image'

Hi everyone!  It's time for another new challenge on the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge Blog.  Out theme for this challenge is 'A Flower in Your Image", and once again we have the pleasure of being sponsored by DeeDee's Digis.  For my card, I am using once of the yummy cupcakes, and a sentiment from their Summer Birth Flower Cupcakes stamp set.  My real challenge was choosing which cupcake to use - they are all beautiful!  I am really happy with how this came out...what do you think?

The Copics I used are: wrapper - Y17, Y21 & YR31; frosting - RV10, RV23 & RV25; flower - E40, E42, E43, E71 & E77.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Sherri Baldy, ribbon, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  I used Pebbles, Inc. chalk over the sentiment, and used Quick Quotes powder puff chalk on the edged of the papers. How perfect is that paper?  Thanks for stopping by everyone...I really appreciate your time:)  Have a great day!

Little Fairy

Good evening everyone! I've just finished up a card and I just couldn't wait to share it with you all!  The image is brand new from Saturated Canary.  She was free to anyone who placed an order last weekend, and between the offer and her awesome images, of course I bought some digis!  I don't think she is even available in her shop yet, but perhaps she will be soon.  You can check out her store here.

So, one of the reasons I am so excited to share is because this is my first attempt at 'no lines' coloring.  I've long admired projects done using this technique, and have been too afraid to try, but today I decided to just jump in and give it a go.  I'm quite pleased with the result!  I think I will try this again for sure.  I would love to get your thoughts...

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R11 & R20; hair - BV02, BV08 & BV13; dress - W0, W2, W5, W7 & W9; wings - RV000, V000, V01, BV000, BV00; flowers - V01, V09, V12, V15, B60, B63 & B66; leaves - YG93, YG97 & G21.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Sherri Baldy, flowers from Wild Orchid, Martha Stewart butterfly punch & Joy! Crafts die.  I am sharing this also in the Saturated Canary Facebook Group and keeping my fingers crossed...Krista is going to invite one person (who makes a project with this cutie) to join their blog hop next week.  Wish me luck!  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a fantastic night!

Waves of Grief

Hi everyone!  I am here with a little bit of mid-week inspiration for you.  I am hosting the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog today, and would love to share this card I made using Waves of Grief.  I really love this image, though I must say I was almost afraid to use it.  The image says so much, so I was mindful not to overdo it on my card (especially with the embellishments).  I kept it fairly simple, but (I think) rather striking.  I would love to know your thoughts.

I used the following Copics: hair - E53, E57 & E59; tattoo - R32, R37, R39, YG97 & G21; dress - YG01, YG23 & YG17.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Sherri Baldy, lace, ribbon and Spellbinders dies.  I really love the emotion in this image.  You can find this image, and so many more in the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop.  She is always adding new images, so check back often!  We also invite you to be a follower of our Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog where you'll see inspiration projects from all of the amazingly talented DT members, and see new releases as soon as they're revealed!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day.

Holiday Gift

Good morning everyone!  I hope you had a fantastic weekend!  I know mine went way too fast (as it always seems to do).  We are starting a new challenge over on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog, and we would love for you to join us!  Sadly, this will be my last project as part of their DT.  I have had a lovely time with this talented group, and will miss participating in the challenges. The theme for this challenge is 'Anything Goes + Optional Holidays'.  For my DT project I made a Christmas card using Holiday Gift.  Isn't she fabulous?

The Copics I used are: hair - E51, E53, E57 & E59; clothing - B91, B95, B97, R32, R35, R39 & RV25; present - YG01, YG17, YG23, YG25, RV10, RV23 & RV25; crown - Y26, Y28 & various Wink of Stella glitter markers.

For my card I used cardstock and patterned paper by Bazzill, lace, Wild Orchid flowers, and LaLa Land Crafts die.  I also used embossing powder and mica flakes around the image to add a shimmery effect.  It was my first time using a heat gun to emboss, and I can't wait to try it again!

We invite you to join us over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society, and play along with our challenge.  You might win some fabulous images from Sherri Baldy!  Check out the other amazing DT projects while you're there too.  Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week.

Saturated Canary - Fashion Decades

Hi everyone! Oooh...I am so excited to share this one with you.  Saturated Canary was the first stamp company I bought digital stamps from, and I fell in love with her images right off the bat.  I don't get a chance to color them as much as I'd like (I need like 10 more hours a day, lol), but today I made time for to color just for fun. I bought a bunch of her new images recently, and I was playing around tonight with her new 'Fashion Decades' images, and boy are they amazing.  She is having a coloring challenge on her blog , and I really wanted to play along, and well...here is my entry (using 40's Fashion Decade which you can find here):

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R11 & R20; hair - E53, E57 & E59, dress - Y11, Y21, Y26 & YR31;  shoes - W3, W5, W7 & W9; lips/flowers - R32, R37 & R39.  I also used a fine tip black sharpie on her dress.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Basic Grey (Barista), twine, and flowers/leaves from Wild Orchid, and Prima.  These colors are so not ones I normally use, which made it a but more challenging, but also more fun.  My daughter will tell you I'm not a fan of the color yellow, but after making this card, I might change my mind about that.  Once I colored her dress, I wanted to jazz it up a bit, and decided to go with black polka dots.  About 1/3 of the way into it, I decided to try doing only half of the bottom portion, and I am quite pleased with the result!  I also didn't feel like doing a bunch more polka dots, so I am glad it worked, lol.  I hope you like her.  I think I need to make more time for Krista's images...I still love them!  Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

The Copics I used are: hair - E15, E17, YR24 & YR31; clothes/hat - B00, BG000, BG01, YR16, YR18, Y08, Y11 & Y13; basket - E31, E33 & E35; flowers - R24, Y17 & Y21; leaves - YG45, YG67 & G21.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper/sticker from Echo Park (Homegrown), Wild Orchid flowers, LaLa Land Crafts die cut, ribbon and button.  It's funny, I NEVER use buttons on my projects (even though I have loads, lol), so the hardest part of making this for me was having to figure out where to place the button!  I recruited my daughter to help me with that part, lol.  She picked the perfect spot - right with the bow:)  Not sure what I'd do with out her. xx

When you have a chance we would love for you to join our challenge on the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge Blog, and see what other amazing projects the DT has made.  Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Go Team!

Morning everyone!  Even though it's hot here, and the middle of summer, do you know what's on my mind? Football.  I am such a huge football fan - I love the sport, and also love playing in Fantasy leagues. So when it came time to choose an image for my project for today on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog, it was easy choice.  I went with this sassy gal called Let's Go Team.  Of course I had to color her in the color of my beloved Philadelphia Eagles...

The Copics I used are: hair - E35, YR23, Y21 & Y32, clothing - G06, G09 & G29; football - E13, E15, E17 & E18; shoes - C3, C5 & C7.  I tried to add some speckles to the football to mimic the texture of a real one.  What do you think?

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Jillibean Soup (Game Day Chili), ribbon. and a little football embellishment I've had for ages.  Cute, right?  My sister is also a huge football fan, so I think I'll pop this into the mail for her.

We would love to have you follow the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog to see what our amazing DT is up to, as well as find out about new releases.  And don't forget to check out the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop where you can find this beauty and so many more.  Thanks for stopping by!
