Cali Girl

Hi everyone!  Getting kind of late here, but it's been a pretty productive day, and I thought I would share my latest card with you.  It's another 'just because' card...I'm so glad I'm making time for that! This one is using the image Cali Girl by Hannah Lynn.  My daughter and I just love her images.  They are fun to color - especially their hair!  I went a little funky with the hair color, but am pleased with the result.  What do you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - R81, R83, R85 & R89; eyes - BG000, BG01 & BG05; dress - E71, E74, E77, W00, W1, W2, W3, BG11 & BG57.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, MME paper, cheesecloth, Wild Orchid and Prima flowers, Prima butterfly, and dies by LaLa Land Crafts and Spellbinders.  It's been a while since I've made one of these cards, and I forgot how much I love them! I'm not sure yet who this will got to, but another thing I want to be sure to do in 2016 is send cards!  I have so many, and I sell some, and send a few, but there are so many I want to start giving to friends and family.  Maybe to a stranger once in a while...you never know when you'll make someone's day, right?  Thanks for taking a look!

A Magical Read

How is everyone doing?  It's getting late here, but before I head off to bed, I would like to share a card I made today.  It's an image I've had for a few months, and I haven't had time to color her, due to all of my DT projects.  Well, today I decided that I wanted to make more time to color 'just because', and she is the first!  The image is A Magical Read from A Day for Daisies.  I just adore their images.  They are so beautiful and unique. I hope you like her:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11,E21, E93 & R11; hair - V93, V95 & V99; dress - Y21, Y17, Y32 & Y38; butterflies - B21, B24, BV0000, RV000, RV02 & RV04.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Now, I have to tell you...when I decided to color her, I hopped on over to the A Day for Daisies Blog to check out the current challenge.  When I sae the challenge is to stitch it up, I had a little panic.  I am pretty crafty, but sewing is not my thing!  (Though I secretly wish to get a sewing machine and learn to use it on my cards and layouts).  Well, I looked around at what I had, and I found this beautiful paper from Bo Bunny that has stitching in the pattern! Perfect, right?  So I used this paper, along with Bazzill cardstock, Wild Orchid flowers, cheesecloth, dies by Dear Lizzy and Spellbinders, and Martha Stewart butterfly punches. What do you think?  Thanks for taking a look!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Ching Chou Kuik Birthday Blog Hop

Today it is the birthday of Ching-Chou Kuik.  I am lucky enough to be on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Design Team and get to work with her amazing images.

As a birthday tribute we have decided to have a Blog Hop in her honour.

To take part in the Blog Hop you need to visit the blogs in the list below and you will see somewhere in the post a letter/letters of the alphabet which you need to make a note of.  When you arrive at the end of the Blog Hop at the Challenge Blog you need to work out what words the letters you have collected make and write a message in the comments box.  Don’t forget to leave a message on each blog you visit as there will be some extra prizes along the way.

The order for the Blog Hop is as follows:

You will have arrived at my blog from ANN-MARIE’S BLOG.

I have two cards to show you on my blog.  The first card is made by Laura who is on the Facebook Design Team and doesn’t have a blog. Isn't this gorgeous? She has used the image Poppies in the Wind:

Here is the card I have created for the Blog Hop using Snowflake Imprint:

Now that you have visited my blog the next blog for you to visit is:  DIANNE’S BLOG.  The special letters that you will collect from my blog are the letters:

I, R and T

Many thanks for taking part in the Blog Hop and a very happy birthday to Ching-Chou Kuik.
xx Bonnie
