CC & CC - Spring Has Sprung!

Hello ladies and gents!  We're kicking off a new challenge over at the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges blog, and I am very excited about it!  The theme for this challenge is 'Spring Has Sprung', and we are sponsored by A Day for Daisies.

The very first challenge I did with the CC & CC design team was using an image from A Day for Daisies, and ever since then I was hooked on their stamps!  For my card today I used Curly Flower Fairy.  Isn't she beautiful?

The Copics I used to color her are: skin - E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - E11, E13, E15 & E17; dress - R11, R20, R32, R35, YG00, YG03, YG17 & YG25; wings - V22, B000, BG000 & Wink of Stella (clear); flowers - RV10, RV13, RV14, Y00, Y02 & Y08.

The paper I picked up at Michaels (but I don't have the package it came in, so I do not know who it is from), lace, ribbon, and 2 tulips from Wild Orchid.  Don't forget to stop by the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge blog, show the DT some love, and join our 'Spring Has Sprung' challenge!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Karleigh Sue - Nerdy Cute

Good morning everyone!  I'm hosting the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog today, and I'm happy to share this altered chalkboard with you.  I decided to use the super adorable image Nerdy Cute.  Right away I knew I wanted to use some school themed papers (which I've had for YEARS), but I just wasn't feelin a card with it.  So...I grabbed a small chalkboard I bought at Walmart a few week ago, and VIOLA! Here she is:

The Copics I used to color her are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - YR14, YR18, E08 & E19; pants - B91, B95 & B97; shirt - YR23 & Y21, bag - E31, E33 & E35.

The paper and flash cards are from Creative Imagination, flowers from Wild Orchid, and I used a die by LaLa Land Crafts.  Super easy to make, really, and I'm so pleased with the result.  Thinking I might buy a few more chalk boards to have on hand for future gifts!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for looking!  Have a great day.

Creative Knockouts - Use/Make a Tag

Hey there crafty world!  I hope you all are having a lovely day (or night, depending where you call home:)  It's time for a new challenge on the Creative Knockouts blog.  This week's challenge is 'Use or Make a Tag', and our sponsor is Sweet n Sassy Stamps.

For my tag, I chose to use Milton's Good Book.  As soon as I saw this adorable guy, I knew I was going to use it to make a tag on a bookmark for my youngest son.  Danny has been reading 'Geronimo Stilton' books for years - they're some of his favorites - and this little mouse reminded me of him. I hope Danny likes his new bookmark!

The Copics I used are: mouse C1, C3, C5, R11 & R20; book - E31, E33, E35 & E37; grass/leaves - YG03, YG06 & G05; flower - YR000, Y17, Y21, Y32, R01, R02, R08, Spica #16, and a white gel pen.

For the bookmark, I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Creative Imaginations, ribbon,  and school themed buttons I bought at Michael's a couple of years ago. If you have a chance, check out the other DT projects, and enter yours over on the Creative Knockouts bog.  Until next time...

CC & CC - Use a Die Cut

Happy Friday! Ok, well, I think we'll be there in an hour, lol, but this is a Friday post:)  We have a fun new challenge over on the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges blog!  The challenge is 'Use A Die Cut', which is perfect, because I use die cuts on just about every card I make!  The sponsor for this challenge is Rick St. Dennis, and this was my first time using one of his digis!  I thought the sentiment on the sticker was just perfect too. I hope you like her...

The Copics I used are: skin - E00, E04, E21, E11 and R20; hair - E31, E33, E35 & E37; dress - YR000, YR00 & YR02; gloves - Y00, Y02 & Y06; stole - C1, C3 & C5.  I used various Atyou Spica markers for the jewelry and to add sparkle to the stole, purse, and fishnets.

CCK - Beetles and Girl

Good morning everyone!  Another post from me...today is going to be a busy one!  I've just started as a DT member for the Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook Group, and here is first card as part of the team:)  For my project I used Beetles and Girl.  It's funny, I was drawn to this image, which is gorgeous, but I am SO not a bug person, lol.  Ching-Chou Kuik sure has a way of making them beautiful!  It's a bit of a departure from the typically bright stuff I do, but I love her, and  I hope you like what I did with her too:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E11, E50, E51 and R20; hair - BV20, BV25, BV29 & 100, beetles - E11, E13, E15, E21, E08, E19, YR14, YR18 & Atyou Spica #20; branches - E33, E35, E37 & E79; wings - Y17, BG000, BG09, BG18 & BG57.

As soon as I saw her, I knew I'd be using paper and elements from 'Olde Curiosity Shoppe' by Graphic 45.  I also used flowers/leaves and from Wild Orchid, wooden clock by Prima, and black lace. I colored her wing twice, cut one out, and doubled it up (curled) for a little dimension.  If you get a chance, check out the Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook Group for info on new releases, challenges, and tons of inspiration.  Until later...xx.

Karleigh Sue - Hot Sunny Day

Hey crafty people!  Today is a new release day for Karleigh Sue, and I'd love to share a card I made using Hot Sunny Day. So fitting for me, considering I live in Arizona, and it feels like a sunny summer day most of the year!  If you check out the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog you can see all of the new stamps, as well as the fabulous makes by the DT:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20 (I used E21 to add freckles); hair - E08. E19, YR14 & YR18; hat - E31, E33, E37, Y17, Y21 & Y32; bathing suit - B00, B12, B16, YR02, YR15 & YR18; chair - E25, E35, E57, Y17, Y21 & Y32; towel - G00, BG13, BG32.  For the glasses I used a metallic gelly roll pen.

For the drink, I added Glossy Accents to the glass, and once that dried, I added Glossy Acccents to the top of the drink, covered with white Sparkly Fluff , to make it look like shaved ice.

The paper and sticker are from Bo Bunny (Barefoot & Bliss), I used a Sizzix die, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  The little glass & lemon embellishment I've had for ages.  Don't for get to check out the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog for more, and also check out the Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog for the latest challenge where you have a chance at winning some awesome prizes:)  Thanks for looking!

Quirky Crafts Guest Designer!

Hope y'all are having a good weekend so far!  I'm excited to share a card I made this week for my guest spot over at the Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog.  I was thrilled then they asked!  The sponsor for the challenge is Crackerbox Palace, and I loved using their Daisy image.  The challenge is Lots of Flowers, so I colored 6 images (doubled them up) for dimension, and used floral paper.  I went for a more CAS look with this one.

The Copics I used are: flower - C3, BG32, BG34, RV000, RV23, RV29, RV52 & RV55; stems/leaves - G21, YG95 & YG97.  The paper I've had for so long, I don't even know who it is from, lol.  I had a bot of trouble at first, as I don't usually use just flowers for my cards, but I am quite pleased at the result:)  I hope you like it!

Creative Knockouts - Birthday Wishes

Hellllooooo everyone! I haven't been having the best week (spent way too much time dealing with a nasty migraine), but I'm feeling better now, and am thrilled to share this with you!  There is a brand new challenge on the Creative Knockouts blog.  This time, the theme is 'Birthday Wishes', and we are sponsored by Imagine That.

I used their adorable image Pinwheel Crab for my card.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to make some pinwheels of my own.  I hope you like it!

The Copics I used for this are: crab - R20, R32, R35, YR24, Y21 & Y32; pinwheel - E31, E35, G000, BG32, BG34, YR000, YR00, YR02, YG00, YG03, YG25, R01, R02, & R08.

The card was made with Bazzill cardstock, and paper and embellishments from October Afternoon (Cakewalk).  For the pinwheels I cut 2 pieces of paper into 3" squares, folded them in half (diagonally), and in half again. I then unfolded it, and cut each crease 3/4 to the center.  I pulled each corner to the center (overlapping) and secured it with a brad.  I then cut a paper straw in half and glued it to the back.  It'll pretty much be impossible to mail this in an envelope, but that's okay - I will just have to hand deliver it to someone special:)

Thanks for looking, and don't forget to pop on over to the Creative Knockouts blog to enter your 'Birthday Wishes' card and check out the other awesome DT makes!
