Pretty Pixie

Hi everyone:)  My weekend is winding down, and I've got a few cards I'm finishing up.  I'd love to share the first!  It's been a while since I have worked on a Simply Betty stamp, so I was happy to pull some of them out to play with this week.  First up is a card I made using the sweet image Pretty Pixie.  I'd love to know what you think!

The Copics I used are: hair - E31, E33, E35 & E37; dress s- YG00, YG23, YG25 & YG17; wings - G000, BG11, BG13, BG32, YR000, YR00, YR02, R01, R02 & R14.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper/word stickers by Webster's Pages (Nest), flowers/leaves by Wild Orchid, and dies by Spellbinder & LaLa Land Crafts.  I loved that it said so much, and I gave this to my (soon-to-be 13 year old) daughter, and told her to always remember the words: 'Live with Intention', and 'Find yourself and be that'.  She's such an awesome kid.  I hope she likes it. Thanks for looking!

Wryn - Sunny Day

Hi everyone!  I've been busy this week working on some DT commitments (can't wait to share them!), and decided to take a little time to make another 'just because' card.  I saw that the Tiddly Ink Challenge Blog has a new easel card challenge.  The DT work is amazing, and so inspiring.  I popped into their shop, picked up a few new digis, and got to work on my easel card, using Wryn - Sunny Day.  What do you think?

I love how she came out!  The Copic colors I used are: hair - E35, E51, E53, E57 & E59; dress - YR00, YR02, YR65 & YR68; leaves - G000, G12, G85, YG93 & YG97; shoes - W0, W3 & W5.

I made the card using Bazzill cardstock, My Mind's Eye paper, flowers from my stash, and dies by LaLa Land Crafts and Spellbinders.  The sentiment sticker is from Webster's Pages, and reads 'The secret to having it all is knowing you already do'.

Happy Hump Day people!  Today is my turn to host the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog, and I am delighted to share a twisted easel card I made using the sweet image Runaway Heart.  For the theme of my card, I chose to make it about running away to 'Follow Your Dream'.  I hope you like it!

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper/die cuts from Michaels, flowers/leaves from Wild Orchid and LaLa Land die.  I cut strips of colored paper to add behind my hot-air balloon die cut to mimic the balloon on the sentiment.  I think it looks pretty cool...what do you think?

Inside the card:

I thought 'Follow Your Dreams' was perfect for this sweet girl.  Thanks for taking a look today, and remember to always 'FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS'...you never know where they might lead you;)

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

Hello people!  Today is a brand spanking new challenge over at Craft Your Passion!  The theme is always 'Anything Goes', and this week we are sponsored by Aurora Wings, and I'm using her darling stamp Daphne Sprite.  I mean...c'mon...how stinking cute is this image?  This week I decided to try making a twisted easel card.  I think I may have gotten a fold backwards, but I'm thrilled with how it came out, and wasn't about to start over, so here she is...

The Copics I used are: skin E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - E31, E33 & E35; petals - R11, R20, R35. G000, G00, BG32 & BG34; pants - G000, YG03, YG06 & YG45.

Here is what it looks like closed:

The card is made with Bazzill cardstock, paper by My Mind's Eye, tag and die cut from Michaels, LaLa Land die, Kraftin Kimmie stamp, Memento ink, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  I found directions for the twisted easel on Pinterest (I've seen a few recently in challenges, and was ready to give it a go).  Like I said, I think I may have a fold done backwards, but it still works:)

I don't tend to use sentiments on my cards (something I'm trying to change), so for this one I stamped a sweet sentiment (from the Kraftin Kimmie 'Dandy Lion' stamp).

Be sure to head on over to the challenge at Craft Your Passion to check out the other DT work, and enter your project!  We love to see what you're up to!

You can find her and all of the other new beauties in the Karleigh Sue Etsy Shop.

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - YR23, Y21, Y32 & E35; clothes - R32, R35, R37, V93, V95, V99, C1, E40 & E43; lips - R32 & R39; rug - C1, C3, C5 and Atyou Spics #19 & #21.

The card is made with Bazzill cardstock, paper from Glitz Design (Black and White collection), lace, ribbon, feathers, flowers/leaves from Wild Orchid, and LaLa Land die.  I cut the dress form in black, and traced the shape in red and adheres it behind the black so that the design would 'pop'.  I also doubled up on the dress for to add a little more dimension to the card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll check out the other new images and DT makes!  Have a great day:)

Do you know what time it is?  It's time for a new challenge over at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges!  The theme of this challenge is 'Must SAY Thank You', and we lucky to be sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.

For this challenge, I am using their fabulous image Girlz Coffee...I mean, how perfect is she?  I love coffee, so many of my friends do, and we are the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge blog!   Ok, I know that the phrase 'Thanks a Latte' is a little cliché, but I couldn't help myself:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair BV20 & BV25; clothes - R00, R01, R02, R08, E40, E43 & E47; coffee cup - C1, C3, B60, E40, E43 & E47.

Why not head over to the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge blog and check out the other cards from the DT (they are STUNNING!), and enter your 'Thank You' card into our latest challenge?  Hope to see you there:)

Scrapping 4 Fun - Guest Designer

I'm very excited to share that I was asked to be a Guest Designer over at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges!  I'm very honored to be part of their 'Technique' challenge.  For my project, I'm using the image Lucy Loo 'Scent of Spring' by The East Wind.  The technique I've chosen to use on my card is Rolled Paper flowers.  I hope you like it!

I had so much fun coloring her!  That hair!!  The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E21 & R20; hair - YR14, YR18, E08 & E19; flowers - R10, R32, R35, BG32, BG34 & BG49; leaves - YG17, YG25 & YG03.

I made the card using Bazzill cardstock, Paper by My Mind's Eye (Alphabet Soup), and dies by Spellbinders & Joy! Crafts.  The flowers are rolled paper flowers.  I made them by punching paper using a variety of circle punches.  Then I cut a spiral toward the center of each.  Starting with the outside, I rolled each flower in a tight coil to the center.  I then loosened the coil a bit, and secured it with a dab of glue at the bottom.  Both fun and easy! Thanks for looking!

My Mother's Day

Hi everyone!  I hope you all enjoyed your weekend...and if you celebrate Mother's Day, I hope your day was extra special!  I had a great day.  It was super relaxing, and I was definitely pampered!  My two older kids made me breakfast (and I must brag that at 12 & 14 they cook as well or better than some adults I know).  We had pumpkin pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, biscuits and gravy - yes, they even made homemade gravy!

My youngest gave me a handmade coupon book, and wrote a poem about me.  He's such a cutie pie.  For dinner my husband made steaks for everyone with veggies...so yummy!  To top it off, my daughter (the 12 year old) made Peach Crisp for dessert (topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream)!  Lucky me!  I definitely indulged, lol.

I also got a nice little surprise...ok, well it wasn't exactly a surprise, since I helped pick it out, but my husband bought me a Grand Calibur!  I've been wanting one, so that I can make shaped cards, and cut our images in different shapes, as the ones I run through the Cuttlebug aren't quite bug enough.  I'm so excited to use it!

I hope you all have a fabulous week!  I'm off to play....

xx Bonnie

SSS - New Beginnings

Happy Monday everyone!  We're starting a new challenge on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog, and our theme is 'New Beginnings'.  I chose to use this darling Moon Baby image.  My Sister-in-law just had a baby boy last week, so he was the perfect image to go on a card for her:)

CCK - Crimson Moon

Good morning everyone!  Today I am excited to share a card I made using the image Crimson Moon by Ching Chou Kuik.  It's funny, when I first printed her out, I was determined to color her in dark colors - red, black, etc, - as that's what the name suggested to me.  Oooops!  When I found paper I wanted to use with her, I colored her up all bright and girly!  I guess that shows how differently the image can be colored and interpreted:)  I'd love to know what you think!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - RV52, RV55, RV66; flower - G000, BG32, BG34 & BG49; wings - G000, BG32, BG49, V000, V01, V06, V09, RV000, RV02 & RV10; leaves - G21. YG95 & YG97.

The card was made with Bazzill cardstock, paper from Michael's, ribbon, flowers from Wild Orchid, LaLa Land die, and Martha Stewart leaf punch.  If you're not already a member of the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group why not head on over and check it out?  There are challenges, inspiration, and the latest news on new releases.  Hope to see you there!

Creative Knockouts - Distressed

Hey there everyone!  I hope you are having a great night (day)!  We kick off another challenge over on the Creative Knockouts blog.  The challenge this week is 'Distressed', and we are sponsored by the fabulous  Lacy Sunshine.  You won't want to miss this one - you could win 3 of their digis!

The image I used for this challenge is the gorgeous Far East Enchantress.  I just love all of their Enchantress digis...it was hard to choose!

The Copics I used are: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 & R11; hair - E40, E43, E47 & E49; dress - R01, R02, R08, YG00, YG03, YG17 & YG25.

For the card I used paper from the Basic Grey line 'Konichiwa' (I just LOVE this line - you've probably seen it here before, lol), lace, and Tim Holtz die cut ( Caged Bird).  To distress my card, I used my handy-dandy Heidi Swapp 'Edge Distresser' which I bought about a hundred years ago.  Love this little tool:)

Typically, I like to add flowers to my cards (again, you've probably noticed, lol), but for this I only added a single small rose to her hair.  There is a flower on the image, so I added this one over it for a little 'pop'.  Cute, huh?

Thanks for taking a look!  I hope you'll hop on over to the Creative Knockouts blog and share your distressed project with us!
