Good morning everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog!  We have a fun theme for you - 'Under the Sea Christmas'.  We want you to use Christmas mermaids or sea creatures, or any mermaids or sea creatures ( as long as the card is a Christmas card).  There are some beautiful images you might like to use in the Lacy Sunshine Stamp Store, including some BRAND NEW images!  For your inspiration, I would like to share 2 cards I made for the challenge.  The first card I would like to share is using Alaura SeaKissed Mermaid.  Isn't she gorgeous?

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper and stickers by MME, lace, and Wild Orchid flowers.  I hope you like her!

For my second card today I am using a BRAND NEW image, and her name is 'Christmas Holly Mer'.  I love this image too!  Here is the card I made with her:

Azalea

Happy Friday everyone! Bus week - I am ready for the weekend! We are kicking off a new challenge over in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group.  You may remember that our Anything Goes challenges now also have an optional theme.  This month our challenge is 'Anything goes/Option of Anything but a Square'.  I LOVE this one!  If you've seen cards on my blog before, you probably know I am a fan of shaped cards. And ever since I got my Spellbinder Grand Calibur for Mother's Day, I've had fun with it.  For our challenge this month, I made a circle card, and I am using the gorgeous image Azalea.  She was so much fun to color.  I knew I wanted bright colors, and here's how she turned out:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - BV20, BV23, BV25 & BV29; dress - BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09, W000, W1 & W3; flowers - Y15, Y17; RV23, RV25, RV29 & BG05.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Here is a closer picture of the image:

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Sherri Baldy, sticker by Webster's pages, Wild Orchid flowers, pom-pom trim and dies by Tim Holtz and Spellbinders.  As I said, I just love using my Grand Calibur to make shaped cards.  I highly recommend getting one!  Christmas isn't very far away...just sayin'!

What is your favorite shaped card?  Why not make one, and enter it into our challenge? We would love for you to join our Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group if you're not already a member.  And if you already are, we thank you!  The DT has some beautiful projects to wow and inspire you.  I do hope you will join our fun challenge.  You might be one of our lucky winners!   Have a great weekend everyone!

Butterfly Rose Girl

Hi there!  I do hope you all are doing well!  I am excited to share some news with you...I was invited to join the DT over at CCC Digi Creations!  I'll be honest, I wasn't planning on starting on with any other DTs right now, but I'm on other DTs with a few of the gals (and they are sweet as can be), and one of my dearest friends (and she's my crafting buddy) is also on the team.  I couldn't say no!

CCC Digi Creations  has challenges on the 1st and 15th every month. The theme for our new challenge is 'Anything Goes', and we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps who have a really excellent selection of stamps.  The lucky winner will receive 7 stamps of their choice.  What an excellent prize!

For this challenge I am using Butterfly Rose Girl which is such a lovely image.  I hope you like what I have made with her:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - E11, E50, E51 & E53; clothes - YR14, YR16, YR18, YR31, Y17, BG01, BG05, BG09, W1, W2, W3 & W5; flowers - Y17, YR16 & YR18.  I used a white gel pen to add some effects around the swirls and in her hair. The image is printed on x-press paper.  Here is a closer look at this beautiful image:

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from MME (Stella & Rose), Wild Orchid flowers, ribbon, Joy! Crafts die, and sentiment from Webster's pages.  I don't often add sentiments to my card (though I am trying to use them more), but I was happy when I found this one in my stash.  I think it suits the image perfectly.

So there it is - my first project with the CCC Digi Creations DT.  I hope you head over to the blog to see the beautiful projects from the other DT members.  So much talent there!  While you are there, please join in our 'Anything Goes' challenge! Thanks for looking.  I hope you have a great day!

Hi everyone!  It's time for another challenge over on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog!  I hope you enjoyed the last one, and even had the chance to play along.  The theme for this challenge is 'Winds of Change'. We want to see projects from you to celebrate the changes in seasons. The beautiful image I am using is Autumn Enchantress.  I love all of the Lacy Sunshine stamps, but I think the Enchantress Line is perhaps my favorite.  Do you think I've managed to showcase our theme?  I'd love to know what you think.

For my card I used Bazzill Cardstock, Bo Bunny paper (Apple Cider), leaves from Wild Orchid, ribbon and wooden leaf embellishments.  I also added Wink of Stella (clear) to her wings for added sparkle.  Here is a close up of her wing:

I'm happy for the weekend:)  It's time for a new 'Anything Goes' challenge over at the Crafting-With-Friends Challenge Blog! I was really excited for this one, because our sponsor is Moon Flower Digital Stamps, and this is my first time coloring one of their images.  They are so pretty!  I had a hard time choosing, and finally decided on using this fun image called Candy Faery.  Isn't she sweet?  (Pun totally intended, lol)  Here's the card I made:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R20; hair - BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, RV000, RV02, RV04 & RV10; dress - BG93, BG96 & BG00; cherries - R32, R35 & R37; candy - RV02, RV10, E15, E17 & E18; cup - E31, E33 & E35; wings - BV02, BV04 & Wink of Stella (clear).  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Dreams

Hey everyone!  How is your week so far?  Mine has been crafty which = fun! I'm here to share with you my card for the new challenge on the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies, and they have some of the most beautiful stamps!  I always love having the chance to work with their images.  You won't want to miss this one - the prize for the winner is a $12 gift certificate to their store!  Awesome, right?

The theme we have this week for you is CAS or 'Clean and Simple'.  I have to admit, when I saw that a few months ago, I was a little scared.  If you've read some of my recent posts you might know that I am new to CAS cards (so please be kind!).  But I have to admit, I am quite enjoying the challenge of keeping cards CAS.  The image I am using Dreams is perfect for this challenge.  The image is so beautiful that not much else is needed.  What do you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21 & E93; hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; tail - BG10, BG11, BG13 & BG18; rock - W00, W1, W2, W3 & W5; ocean - B0000, B000, B00, B12 & B16.  The image is printed on x-press paper.  I tried the dotted effect (I think it's called 'stippling') which I've seen other people do.  Not perfect, but it was fun, and a technique I would definitely try again!.  Here is a closer look at the image:

For my CAS card I used Bazzill cardstock, MME paper (Lost and Found) and ribbon.  That's it.  But again, I think the image stands out more this way:)  Head on over to the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog when you have a chance and check out the other beautiful CAS cards by my fellow teamies.  We hope you'll join in our challenge too!  Hope you have a great rest of your week!  I'll be back soon with more to share.

Puppy Girl

Good morning everyone, and a Happy Labor Day to you!  I hope you're ready for a new week, and perhaps enjoying a day off.  Over at Craft Your Passion we are kicking off a new Anything Goes challenge, and our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps. You won't want to miss this one - they are generously giving the winner 7 images of their choice!  What an awesome prize.  For my card this week I am using the adorable image Puppy Girl.  I thought she was a fun image, and I have 3 pups of my own, so I had to color her up:)  I'd love to know what you think!

The Copics I used are: skin - E50, E51, E53 & BE93; hair - E11, E13, E15 & E18; pants - B91, B93, B95 & B97; shirt - YG21, YG23, YG25, RV10, RV13 & RV14; shoes - E23 & E25; puppy - C1, C3 & R11.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from MME, ribbon, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  I typically make square cards, but because of the height of the image, I made this card 4.5"x7".  I hope you like it, and perhaps you are inspired to join our Anything Goes challenge over on the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog. While you're there, check out the other amazing work by the talented DT!  Have an awesome week!

Rainbow in Eyes

Guess what everyone?  There are 2 brand new challenges for Ching Chou Kuik today. In the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group we are kicking off a 'CAS' challenge!  If you're not familiar with it, CAS stands for Clean and Simple.  A card with minimal embellishments.  Sounds easy, right?  Well, for some it might be.  For me...not so much!  And truth be told, most of the DT found it challenging as well, lol.  But we all had fun with it.  And the ladies made gorgeous projects.  I'd love to share mine - using Rainbow in Eyes.  This image is so beautiful, she really didn't need anything else, don't you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11 & R20; hair - BV000, BV00, BV02 & BV04; eyes - YG01, YG11, YG23 & YG25; wing - RV10; butterflies - RV000, RV13, RV14, BG000, B000, BV000, BV00, YR000 & YR00; flowers - YG01, YG17, YG23, YG27, YR23 & YR24.  I added Wink of Stella (clear) to the butterflies. The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I added a stamped sentiment (Kraftin Kimmie), outlined it with a pink Wink of Stella glitter marker, and used a piece of Prima Paper.  Super simple.  I hope you'll join us in this challenge!  Head on over to the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group for all of the details!  Thanks again for stopping by:)
