Christmas Candle

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to share a project I made for the new challenge on the Ching Chou Kuik Challenge Blog. I love playing along with the amazing gals on the blog DT.  The theme this month is 'Christmas' (which really isn't very far off now, right?).  For my project I am using the beautiful image Christmas Candle.  She's so lovely, isn't she?  You can find her and lots of other digis which would be perfect for this challenge over in the Ching Chou Kuik Etsy Shop.

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - BV20, BV23, BV25 & BV29; dress - R32, R35, R37 & R39; flowers - R24 & R27; leaves - G21, YG93 & YG97.  The image is printed on x-press paper.  I added white and gold frantage around the image.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Authentique, lace, ribbon, brads and berrries from Wild Orchid.  I'm so excited that I've got a few holiday cards ready!  Please join us over on the Ching CHou Kuik Challenge Blog and share your Christmas themes project with us.  The DT has beautiful projects there to inspire you as well.  Have an awesome day!

Wicked Musing

Good morning everyone!  We have a special Mini Challenge this week over in the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group!  It's going to be loads of fun!  The them is 'Spooky' - you can use any Ching Chou Kuik digi, and you can find tons of beautiful ones in her etsy shop.  For my DT project I made an altered chalkboard, which I made into a Halloween sign using Wicked Musing.  I hope you find her spooky!

The Copics I used are: skin - Yg17, YG21, YG23 & YG25; dress/hat - R35, R37, R39, BV02, BV04 & BV13; door - E33, E35, E37, E57 & E59; bricks - E13, E15, E17 & E19; monkey - C1, C3, C5, C7, B91, B93, B95 & B97. The image is printed on x-press paper.

Here is a closer look at the image:

Another look at it as it hangs:

For this project, I bought a chalkboard from Michael's, and first sprayed it with different glimmer mist & American Crafts sprays.  I did end up covering most of it, but there is a cool marbles effect on the parts you can see (the colors are dark and muted).  I used paper from My Mind's Eye (Blackbird), and Graphic 45 (Time to Flourish) to cover most of the chalkboard.  I used an edge distresser on the edges of the image and all of the papers.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid, and the 'Spooktacular' sticker is from Paper House.  I took out the black ribbon it came with and used my own ribbon in various colors.  I do love this one!  I honestly think it's my most favorite project I've made to date.

We would love for you to join the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group if you haven't already.  There is always a challenge (or 2) going on, and you'll see the latest releases.  Our wonderful DT is often sharing projects for your inspiration as well.  We would love to see what you make with Ching Chou Kuik's amazing digis!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have an awesome day.

Princess Rory

Happy Sunday!  How has your weekend been so far? Mine has been busy and loud - my youngest had a birthday party and some of his friends stayed for a sleepover, so I need a day of rest today, lol.  First, I want to share my card for the new challenge on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog. Our theme for this challenge is 'Once Upon a Dream'.  We want to see your fairytale projects!  For my card I used the sweet Princess Rory..  You can find her and tons of other gorgeous digis in the Lacy Sunshine Stamp Store.  Do you think my card is fit for a princess?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - E13, E15, E17 & E19; dress - RV19, RV52 & RV55; crown - Y21, Y26, Y28 and various Wink of Stella glitter markers.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Isn't she lovely?

I wanted to do something happy and bright for the card, so I used Bazzill cardstock, KaiserCraft paper and sticker (Fiesta), ribbon, gold crown pin, LaLa Land die and Wild Orchid flowers.  I have a couple of young nieces that might like this one.  Perhaps I should make another and send one to each. I invite you to head on over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog, check out the amazing projects out DT has made for your inspiration, and to play along with our challenge!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I appreciate it more than you know!

Gina Medusa

Hello everyone!  I hope your day is off to a good start!  It is my turn to host the MoonFlower Blog, and I am sharing a card I made using the fabulous image Gina Medusa.  I had so much fun with her!  I played around with different colors, and ended up coloring her skin using Copics from the Warm Grey family.  What do you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - W00, W1, W3, W5 & E93; snakes - W00, W1, W3, W5, YG21 & YG23; dress - BV000, BV02, BV04, BV08, YG17, YG21 & YG23.  The image is printed on x-press paper.  I used Pebbles, Inc. chalk around the image - yellow to create a 'glow' around her, with grey around that.

How cool is this digi?

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Doodlebug paper, Wild Orchid flowers, ribbon, sticker from The Paper House and swirly die.  I'm pleased at how 'wicked' she looks.  We'd love you to visit the MoonFlower Blog to see inspiration from all of the Design Team, as well as new releases.  There is also a MoonFlower Facebook Group where you will find monthly challenges, find out about new releases, and be able to share your projects using MoonFlower digis. Thanks for stopping by!

Rosie

Happy Friday everyone! It is time to kick off another challenge over in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group. This is our 'Anything Goes' challenge, and our option this month is to add some Bling to your project.  I chose to use the gorgeous Rosie for my card, keeping the design somewhat CAS (for me, lol).  I really love the red and violet together, and I hope you like it!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - E42, E43, E47 & E49; dress - BV02, BV04 & BV13; roses - R22, R35, R37 & R39; hat - T0, T1 & T2.  I used Pebbles, Inc. chalk around the image.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Best Creations, Prima bling, and ribbon.  I just bought the rose ribbon a few days before making this card, and it seemed just perfect! Thanks for taking a look.  Please head on over to the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group to join in all of the fun!  Have an awesome weekend!

Cherry Blossom

Howdy blogger-land!  How is everyone today? I'm stopping by to share a card I made for the new challenge on the Creative Knockouts Blog.  Our theme for this week is 'Doily Delight', and our sponsor is none other than the amazing Art by Mi Ran. As you probably know, I am a huge fan of her work, and was so excited to use Cherry Blossom, which is an image I have never colored before.  I hope you like her!

The Copic colors I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - E31, E33, E37 & E49; dress- BG000, B01 & B02; flowers - RV000, RV02, RV10 & RV19; branch - E13, E15 & E18.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Kaisercraft (Secret Garden), lace, doily, ribbon & Wild Orchid flowers.  I like the soft, romantic feel of this one (especially after working on so many Halloween cards lately).  I hope you will join our 'Doily Delight' challenge over on the Creative Knockouts Blog.  Thanks for taking a look!
